Gatwick Aviation Museum

Inspired by Gavin Hoey's talk at Ashford Photographic Society earlier in the year, a group of us went up to the venue on Sunday afternoon. Below are some of the shots I got.

As a lot of the planes were close together, it was difficult to isolate them so I decided to concentrate on getting some close-up/cameo shots. All images were taken using a polarising filter (to handle the reflective surfaces of all that bare metal) with either 24-105mm or 70-200mm lenses. I have used Topaz Detail 2 plug-in to add some subtle effects to some of the shots.

Don't ask me what any of the planes are, I just enjoyed capturing the forms and textures.
